Three steps from quote to truck.

Start with the quote form and we take it from there.

  1. Tell us what is moving and when

Use the quote form for your pickup and drop-off, what is going and any stairs. Add the date, even if it is today.

  2. Get an hourly quote

We tell you how the job will be priced. Crew, truck, stairs and distance all play into the hours.

  3. Crew and truck show up

Movers and a 20-ft truck arrive, load with care and get your things where they are going.

Real jobs, real trucks.

What our customers say.

Dawg Gone ROCKS ! James helped me move super last minute on a busy Friday night and I am truly blown awayyyy by the professional - care - and hustle Dawg Gone brings into their business - my move was not easy with a 3 story walk up...

I was in a huge bind and needed help with an impossible task. Most of the competitive moving companies quoted me ridiculous prices looking to take advantage of the time crunch that I was under. My last call was to Dawg Gone and it should have been my first. The staff was punctual, friendly and got the job done right and not a dollar over the price they quoted me. These guys are my go-to from now on for any moving needs!

I'm a Facebook Marketplace fiend and my sedan is my Achilles' heel. Soooo grateful for the team at Dawg Gone Move It!! They've driven all over the place to help me get heavy pieces of furniture home, and without me even needing to be there to middle man. You can trust them with the big stuff!!
Morgan May - Customer review - Feb 2026
James and his crew are not only efficient but also very communicative. They are swift, yet careful, with all your belongings - ensuring they are transported safely and arrive perfectly. They hold great conversation and really came in clutch for a last minute task, which took all the stress out of my move and allowed me to breathe. I recommend James and would 100% use him again in the future.

Showed up on time and kept working until the job was complete. James communicated well and helped make the move to a new apartment smooth. Thanks!

Wow, just wow. What an amazing team. Let me tell you, I've used every mover east of the Colorado river, and none have been as professional as Chad and his team. Nothing was damaged or stolen, and his team was courteous and professional. 10/10 experience - I've found my go to mover!

Meet the crew

Started with one pickup truck in 2022.

Chad Davis started Dawg Gone Move It in 2022, one man and a pickup truck. Word of mouth and referrals grew it into a moving company with an on-call crew of movers, and his partner Noah runs day-to-day operations.

Pickup trucks still handle the small jobs and single pieces. The 20-ft box truck handles the full moves.

Questions people ask before they book.

Straight answers about pricing, same-day requests and what to have ready.

How much does a move cost in Nashville?

Local moves in Nashville are priced by the hour, so the total depends on how long the job takes. Crew, truck, stairs, the distance between your two addresses and heavy or awkward pieces all change the hours. Tell us what you are moving through the quote form and we will send an hourly quote. Junk haul is the exception, and it is a flat rate.

How does a same-day move request work?

Start with the quote form: pickup and drop-off addresses, what is moving, any stairs, and when you need us. We read it, tell you straight whether a crew and truck are open for a same-day or last-minute move in Nashville, and send an hourly quote. The sooner your details reach us, the better your odds of getting a slot today.

What areas do you cover?

Nashville, TN is home base, and we also take moves in Franklin, Brentwood, Hendersonville, Smyrna, Hermitage, Spring Hill, La Vergne, Gallatin and Mount Juliet. If you are not sure your address is in range, put both addresses in the quote form and we will tell you.

Can you handle stairs and tight spaces?

Yes. Stairs and walk-ups are part of everyday residential moves in Nashville, and customers have written about us carrying furniture up a three-story walk-up. Tell us how many flights there are, how narrow the halls get and what the heaviest pieces are. The crew plans around it, and it helps us quote the hours honestly.

What should I have ready before the crew arrives?

Box up small items, clear the path to the door and have a spot where a 20-ft truck can park close to the entrance. Know where each big piece is going at the other end. If anything is awkward, fragile or very heavy, mention it in the quote form so the crew shows up ready for it.

Do you do TV mounting and junk haul?

Yes to both. The same movers mount TVs in Nashville, with your move or on its own, and junk haul is a flat rate for junk haul jobs. Tell us the TV size and the wall, or what needs to go, in the quote form. Moves stay hourly, so each kind of job is quoted its own way.

Need a crew today?

Tell us what is moving and when. We will say straight whether we can make it work.
